Twelve years ago saw the coming together of elite scientists and researchers of ornithology in the first elite personal search congress meeting held in San Francisco. The congress was formed to educate and avail individual ornithologist to collective information and resources available to professionals in ornithology. Below are brief highlights of past congress meetings held in various regions.

The San Francisco congress was the very first annual event held about 12 years ago. The theme of that congress was Modern Ornithology; The Way Forward. The Dallas Congress was the third congress meet and it has the theme, Challenges to modern ornithology study. At Phoenix, the number of attendees was unprecedented high as many more professionals in bird study attended and the theme of that event was Bird Extinction and Preservation; The Way Forward. Those that attend this years "Elite Personal Search" would have gotten a real kick out of that.

The Las Vegas congress was the first time that the congress meeting was held for duration of two days. Prior to the Las Vegas meet the ornithology annual congress had been a one day affair. The Theme of the Las Vegas congress was Modern Effective Methods of Bird Watching. This congress was the first that emphasized on personal bird search and field activities. Then was the 8th ornithology congress that was held in Boston. The theme of that event was Bird Migration; New theories.

The Palm Springs event was the 10th annual Ornithology congress and had the theme, Ornithology and Modern Technology. This congress featured eminent speakers with some notable academicians and scientists. The Orange County congress was tagged Personal Ornithology Research. The 11th annual congress for elite scientist and researchers of ornithology was held in Washington DC and was tagged Professionalism and Accuracy in Ornithology. The 12th edition of the congress is coming up at Los Angeles, California and has the theme, Elite Personal Search of Birds.
